Why choose our bathroom stickers?

A bathroom sticker changes the feel of the room with no building work or paint. Our bathroom wall stickers are vinyl or PVC decals with a matt finish that go on without tools on the smooth surfaces of the room: wall, tiles, glass or door, depending on what each design's product page lists.

Waterproof, according to their product page

A bathroom exposes walls to steam and splashes. That's why every product page in this collection states, in its specifications, what the sticker can handle.

  • Waterproof: “yes” on most designs, from tropical foliage to the “You are amazing” quote. The Bunny, Dental Hygiene and Seashells pages add resistance to humidity and mould.
  • Washable: Shower, Hanging Potted Plants, Tropical Foliage and You Are Amazing.
  • Nothing stated about water for the two botanical trompe-l'oeil designs and the Hanging Vines, Plants and Butterflies border: keep them away from splashes.

Waterproof doesn't mean “under the spray”: the product pages talk about placing the sticker near the shower or above the bath, never in running water.

Easy to apply, removable without residue

No tools needed: a stiff card and a microfibre cloth are all it takes to smooth the vinyl down. When you fancy a change, the sticker comes off dry or after gently warming it with a hairdryer; on a smooth surface, the product pages state that it comes off without a trace.

Renting?

This flexibility makes bathroom wall stickers a good fit for renters: nothing to drill, no glue to add. Before you hand back the keys, peel them off gently starting from a corner; our guide explains how to remove a sticker without damaging the paint.

Which design for which part of the bathroom?

We've sorted every design in the collection by area, based on how waterproof it is and the surfaces its product page lists. The middle column sums up the product page: waterproofing, surfaces, and placement when the description gives one. That way you can choose a bathroom wall sticker for where it will go, not just for its design.

Size: the size of the design once applied when the product page gives it; otherwise, the size shown on the product page (for Fish and Bubbles, the size of one sheet). Before you order, the design's product page is the reference.

Where should you put stickers in the bathroom?

Not every bathroom surface is the same. Pick the area you want to decorate, then check that the design's product page lists that surface among the compatible ones.

Stickers for tiles and glazed ceramic

Tiles are a great surface for bathroom stickers: their glaze is smooth, which is exactly what the product pages ask for. Many designs in the collection list them (see the table), above the basin or around the bath with a waterproof design. Degrease the grout lines thoroughly before applying.

Near the shower and bath

This is the area most exposed to splashes: keep it for designs stated as waterproof. The Shower sticker (“clean shower time”) and the Fish and Bubbles kit, 42 stickers to arrange along a shower or above a bath, are made for this spot; Seashells and Bunny go near the bath or basin.

On glass, whether a glass shower screen or a mirror, pick a design whose product page lists that surface: six designs in the collection do, all stated as waterproof (Bunny, Dental Hygiene, Seashells, Fish and Bubbles, Hanging Potted Plants and You Are Amazing). Place them out of the direct spray of the shower.

Near the basin and mirror

At the basin, the sticker is seen up close, every morning. Dental Hygiene goes at a child's height as a reminder to brush, You Are Amazing at mirror height. On a smooth vanity unit, choose a design whose product page lists furniture or wood, such as Fish and Bubbles or You Are Amazing.

Stickers for the bathroom door

The door is an often-forgotten surface. The watercolour bouquet of the Floral Bathroom Door sticker, with its “bathroom” lettering, goes at eye level: the room announces itself before you reach the handle. Away from splashes, the door is a good place for a first sticker.

A large wall

To dress a whole wall, foliage gives the bathroom a leafy, botanical feel: Watercolour Green Leaves, which its product page suggests for the bathroom, Tropical Greenery, Jungle Tropical Leaves or Tropical Foliage, all stated as waterproof. Our foliage wall stickers offer more designs.

Up high, away from splashes

The Green Plant Shelf Trompe-l'Oeil, the Hanging Vines, Plants and Butterflies border and the Designer Green Plants Trompe-l'Oeil say nothing about water: put them up high or on a dry wall. Our trompe-l'oeil wall stickers bring together more niches and windows in the same spirit.

Which style should you choose for your bathroom?

Four looks lead this collection.

Zen and nature style (foliage, plants)

Tropical leaves in shades of green, potted plants, a shelf of succulents: greenery is the largest theme in the collection. Jungle Tropical Leaves, Tropical Foliage and Watercolour Green Leaves also feature in our toilet wall stickers and our living room wall stickers.

Seaside style

A shoal of fish in navy, sky blue and turquoise, or seashells, starfish and pebbles in sand, beige, blue and grey: two ways to bring the sea right next to the bath.

Quote style

Black lettering and a matt finish: a vertical “You are amazing”, a phrase to read again every morning in front of the mirror.

Designs for a family bathroom

A bunny in its tub of bubbles, a child in the shower, a smiling tooth: soft watercolour or black line drawings for a bathroom shared with children.

Small or windowless bathroom: which sticker?

In a small bathroom, one well-placed sticker is enough: keep it to a single visual area (the door, the basin wall or the bath wall). Small sizes work well here, such as Bunny (20 × 27 cm) or Dental Hygiene (27 × 16 cm); You Are Amazing comes in three sizes, and the Fish and Bubbles kit can be arranged to fit the space.

Without a window, go for designs stated as waterproof: tropical foliage gives a garden feel to a room with no view.

How do you apply a sticker in a bathroom?

How well you apply your sticker determines how well it holds, especially in a humid room. The product pages ask for a smooth, clean surface, and several specify that it must be dry.

Prepare the surface (cleaning, drying)

A poorly cleaned surface stops the adhesive from gripping properly, especially in a bathroom, where limescale marks and soap residue are common.

  • Clean the surface with a mild degreaser (white vinegar diluted in hot water).
  • Rinse with clean water to remove any trace of product.
  • Wipe with a clean, dry microfibre cloth.
  • Wait until the surface is completely dry before applying, and avoid applying straight after a shower.
  • Check there's no dust, which would create air bubbles under the sticker.

Apply the sticker step by step

Our guide also explains how to apply wall stickers without bubbles.

  1. Position the sticker, still on its backing, on the surface and mark guide points in pencil.
  2. Gradually peel off the backing paper, starting from one corner.
  3. Apply the sticker from the centre outwards to push out air bubbles.
  4. Smooth it down with a squeegee or a stiff card, applying even pressure.
  5. Carefully remove the transfer tape by pulling it back flat, never straight out from the surface.

According to its product page, the Fish and Bubbles kit can be repositioned for 10 minutes: time enough to arrange your shoal of fish.

Tips for wet areas

In the most exposed areas (around the bath, near the shower, the basin wall), choose a design stated as waterproof and avoid splashing it straight after applying. For cleaning, a soft damp cloth is all you need; avoid abrasive sponges and cleaners with strong solvents, which could dull the print.

Wall sticker, tile stickers or wallpaper: which should you choose?

  • A wall sticker adds a design to a specific area (door, basin, bath wall) and comes off without a trace on a smooth surface: that's what this collection offers.
  • Tile stickers, or adhesive tiles, are made to the size of your tiles to change their look one tile at a time, on a splashback or as a border.
  • Wallpaper covers a whole wall: it changes the entire room, but takes more preparation than a sticker.

Frequently asked questions about bathroom stickers

Do stickers stay put in a humid room?

Yes, when the design's product page says so: check the “Waterproof” line in its specifications. Most stickers in this collection are stated as waterproof, and some also list resistance to moisture and mould. Apply them to a smooth, clean, dry surface, out of the direct spray of the shower. If a design's product page says nothing about water, keep it away from splashes.

Can I put a sticker on tiles?

Yes, tiles are actually a great surface thanks to their smooth glaze. Check that they appear among the suitable surfaces on the product page, and make sure you thoroughly degrease the grout lines before applying.

How do I remove a sticker without damaging the wall?

Warm the sticker gently with a hairdryer to soften the glue, then peel it off slowly, starting from a corner. On a smooth surface such as tiles or smooth paintwork, our product pages state that it comes off without a trace.

What's the difference between a wall sticker and a tile sticker?

A classic wall sticker decorates a painted or papered section of wall, while a tile sticker is designed to tile size to line up with the grout lines and cover a splashback or border. Either way, the product page lists the suitable surfaces.

I'm a tenant: can I decorate my bathroom with a sticker?

Yes: it goes on without tools, with no drilling and no extra glue. Before you move out, remove the sticker by warming it slightly and peeling it off from a corner. On a smooth surface, our product pages state that it comes off without a trace.
