Our foliage wall stickers

Foliage wall stickers turn a bare wall into a leafy backdrop with no nails, no paint and no commitment. Here you'll find a complete selection designed to dress up a living room, bedroom, home office or even a bathroom, applied in under 30 minutes. Each wall decal is designed to suit your style, your wall size and the atmosphere you want to create.

Before you choose, it helps to know what sets the designs apart. The criteria that really matter are the graphic style, the size, the room and the type of surface. The table below sums up what to check so you get it right with your very first order.

Criterion Why it matters Recommendation
Graphic style Sets the overall mood of the room Tropical, minimalist, jungle or Scandinavian
Size Determines the visual impact and the right room From 30 cm for a detail to 200 cm for a whole wall
Colour Should work with your furniture and walls Natural green, graphic black, gold or tone-on-tone
Surface Determines how well it holds over time Smooth matt or satin wall, tiles, clean furniture
Room Influences the choice of vinyl and design Standard vinyl for the living room, moisture-resistant vinyl for the bathroom

Most designs are printed on self-adhesive vinyl with an average thickness of 80 microns, an industry benchmark that ensures both easy application and an estimated indoor lifespan of 5 to 7 years, depending on light exposure. For a complete nature-inspired look, you can combine several sizes on the same wall.

Which foliage wall sticker should you choose?

The right sticker depends first and foremost on the look you want. Four main styles make up the botanical wall sticker market, and each one suits a very different decor intention. Here's how to tell them apart at a glance.

Style Visual features Ideal room Recommended size
Tropical Monstera, palm, banana leaves, bright colours Living room, conservatory, entrance hall Large size, 120 to 200 cm
Minimalist Fine lines, monochrome black or gold Home office, bedroom, hallway Medium size, 50 to 90 cm
Dense jungle Lush compositions, green palette Kids' room, living room Whole wall, 180 to 250 cm
Scandinavian Eucalyptus, olive, pale branches Dining room, bedroom Medium size, 60 to 120 cm

Tropical and exotic foliage stickers

Tropical designs play on iconic leaves such as monstera, palm and banana. They make a strong statement on the wall and are especially suited to rooms where you entertain. For a 3-metre-wide living room wall, go for a sticker at least 150 cm tall so the design holds its own without looking squashed.

This type of sticker works well alongside real houseplants or light wood furniture. If you love the exotic look but prefer something more floral, you can also explore our flower wall stickers, which follow the same botanical idea with a softer touch.

Minimalist and Scandinavian foliage stickers

The minimalist style favours fine lines, often in black, gold or taupe. It's the most versatile choice if you're unsure, as it fits in with almost any existing decor. An 80 cm eucalyptus branch above a sofa or bed is enough to give a wall structure without overloading it.

This style works particularly well in neutral interiors: off-white, beige, pearl grey. If the room is very bright, choose a dark design to create contrast. On a wall that's already dark, a gold or white outline stands out better.

XXL large-leaf stickers

XXL sizes are designed to cover an entire wall or a central section. From 180 cm tall, the sticker becomes the room's main feature and makes a great alternative to a framed picture or a painted mural. We strongly recommend two people for anything over 150 cm tall to avoid air bubbles and creases.

Remember to measure the area before you order: leave at least 20 cm between the edge of the sticker and any furniture, door or light switch. This avoids visual breaks that spoil the overall effect.

Foliage stickers for the bedroom, living room or home office

The room you choose determines the size, the style and even the colour of the design. Here are some practical pointers for each space:

  • Bedroom: calming designs such as eucalyptus or olive, 80 to 120 cm, placed above the headboard or in a corner. For other headboard designs, see our bedroom wall stickers.
  • Kids' room: dense jungle or colourful foliage, 100 to 180 cm, paired with an animal theme.
  • Living room: tropical or jungle, 150 to 250 cm, on the wall you see from the sofa for instant impact.
  • Home office or work-from-home corner: minimalist, 50 to 90 cm, for a touch of nature without distraction.
  • Entrance and hallway: Scandinavian branches or single leaves, 60 to 120 cm, to bring rhythm to an often-overlooked space.
  • Kitchen: small repeated leaves or a leafy garland, 40 to 80 cm, on a wall away from grease splashes.

For designs that focus specifically on potted plants or single leaves, our selection of plant wall stickers offers designs that complement the ones on this page.

How to apply a foliage wall sticker

Applying a foliage wall sticker takes 15 to 30 minutes on average, depending on the size. 80% of the result comes down to how well you prepare the surface. Here are the steps to follow in order — don't skip any.

  1. Clean the wall with a damp cloth and leave it to dry for at least 2 hours. Dust and moisture are the two main reasons stickers peel off early.
  2. Check the room temperature: application works best between 15 and 25 °C. Below that, the adhesive doesn't grip well; above it, it becomes too soft.
  3. Hold the sticker against the wall without removing the backing, and mark the top corners in pencil.
  4. Gradually peel off the backing paper, starting from the top, and apply the sticker by smoothing it down from the centre outwards with a squeegee or a stiff card.
  5. Carefully remove the transfer film starting from a corner, at 45° to the wall, so you don't lift any fine details.

Plenty of surfaces are suitable, but not all of them. The table below shows what works and what to avoid.

Surface Suitability Tip
Matt or satin paint Excellent Wait 4 weeks after a fresh coat of paint
Smooth tiles Good Degrease before applying
Varnished wood furniture Good Test on a discreet area
Glass and mirrors Very good Ideal for glazed doors
Wallpaper Limited Risk of tearing when removed
Roughcast or textured wall Not recommended The adhesive won't hold in the long run

To create a complete, calming atmosphere around your foliage, you can also explore our zen wall stickers, which pair especially well with botanical designs in a bedroom or meditation space.

Frequently asked questions about foliage wall stickers

Are foliage wall stickers easy to remove?

Yes, on paint in good condition, the sticker comes off by pulling gently at a 45° angle, without leaving any glue residue. On wallpaper or a fragile wall, removal may damage the surface.

What size sticker should I choose for my wall?

For a balanced look, the sticker should cover between a third and two thirds of the width of the visible wall. Allow 80 to 120 cm for a standard bedroom wall and 150 to 250 cm for a living room wall.

Are foliage stickers suitable for the bathroom?

Yes, as long as you choose a moisture-resistant vinyl design and apply it at least 50 cm away from areas directly exposed to water, such as the shower or bath.

Can I choose the colour of a foliage sticker?

Each design comes in the colour or colours shown on its product page; we don't offer custom colours. Not sure how it will look in your room? Send us a photo of your wall and we'll advise you within 24 hours.
