On a bare wall, aim for a sticker that covers between one third and two thirds of the wall’s width, centred at eye level. Any smaller and it looks lost; any bigger and it overwhelms the room.
Above furniture (bed, sofa, chest of drawers), allow 60–75% of the furniture’s width, placed 20–30 cm above it. The sticker should complement the furniture, not overpower it.
The trick that never fails: mark out the sticker’s dimensions with masking tape straight onto your wall, then step back two metres. You’ll see exactly how much space it takes up before you order.
Remove the backing paper
Gently peel off the backing paper so the sticker stays on the transfer paper.
Position the sticker
Place it on the surface you’ve chosen. Take your time to line it up properly before pressing it down for good.
Press it down carefully
Using a card or your hand, press from the centre outwards so the adhesive sticks firmly.
Remove the transfer paper
Peel it off slowly, keeping it parallel to the wall.
Smooth it over for a perfect finish
Run a dry cloth or the palm of your hand over the whole surface.
